The DirectX installation process requires Internet access and approximately 55 megabytes (MB) of free hard drive space. After installation, downloading DirectX requires approximately 22 MB of hard drive space.



Note: After installation, the DirectX 9.0c executable cannot be removed (uninstalled). The installation process makes numerous changes to the registry and changes major operating system components. Microsoft does not support uninstallation.

To copy the download to your computer:

1. Click "Save" to copy the program to any directory on your computer.
(Or, to start the installation immediately, click "Run", although this option is not recommended).
2. Run the DirectX 9.0c download package.
3. Review the License Agreement. If you accept it, you can continue.
4. In the restart message, click "Yes" to restart the computer.
